Frequently Asked Questions

Do you travel for weddings and elopements?
Absolutely! I love to travel, so nowhere is too far. There are no additional travel fees for weddings in Christchurch or Nelson, as I am based in both. For all other locations, please send me a message and we can chat further.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
You will receive 30 previews within one week of your wedding. After that, you can expect to receive your photos via an online gallery anywhere between 6-10 weeks.
What if it rains on our wedding day?
Rain or shine, we'll get some amazing photos. If the weather takes a turn, we can always use clear umbrellas or shoot in a covered area. I encourage you to embrace the weather and go with the flow — rain can make for some seriously beautiful and romantic images.
Can we meet you before our wedding?
I would love to meet you beforehand! Whether that's over coffee prior to your booking, at your engagement session, or over FaceTime. I love connecting before your wedding so that on the day, it feels like a friend behind the camera.
Do you have any advice for how we can get the best images out of our day?
Yes! When you book with me, you'll receive my exclusive Bridal Handbook — a valuable resource full of advice to help you prepare for stunning photos and a smooth day. Leading up to your wedding, I'll also help you to create your timeline to ensure the day runs seamlessly and everything you have planned has the right amount of breathing space.
Do you shoot with a second shooter?
Yes, I always use a second shooter for weddings. This allows us to capture a broader range of details and in-between moments, as well as photographing multiple locations simultaneously. Their perspective compliments mine, and is a beautiful addition to your gallery. For smaller weddings or elopements, a second shooter may not be necessary.
How do we book with you?
Contact me using the booking form to see if I'm available on your date. Once we've had a chat and you've picked what package you're after, a signed contract and a 30% deposit makes it official and secures your date on my calendar.
How do you find your locations?
Ideally, I'll scout your venue a week or two before your wedding to get a feel for it. Seeing how the light hits, planning for the weather — that sort of thing. If you're using private property or have special spots in mind, you're more than welcome to let me know. I'll take note and assess them to make sure they'll be perfect for your day.
What is it like to work with you?
I bring a relaxed and mostly unobtrusive approach to photographing weddings. My focus is on capturing genuine emotion and letting moments unfold in an authentic way without disrupting the flow — something that happens effortlessly when you're at ease and enjoying your day. I find the best results come from a balance — giving space for real moments to happen while also offering gentle guidance when needed. Most of my direction revolves around light and composition rather than rigid posing. One of my favourite parts of the process is getting to know my couples during an engagement shoot, so that on the wedding day, it feels like a friend behind the camera.
Do you photograph in digital or film?
I shoot both film and digital format. Most of the day is captured digitally so I can work quickly, but I also love incorporating a few rolls of film during full coverage days. Film has a timeless, nostalgic quality that adds a beautiful touch to your wedding. If you’d like film added to a different package, I offer it as an à la carte option.
